The soccer club was founded in 1940 by the headquarters soccer club of Hitachi, Ltd. and was inaugurated as Kashiwa Reysol in 1992. The name “REYSOL” is formed from the Spanish words “REY”, which means “King”, and “SOL”, which means “Sun,” meaning “Sun King,” combining the intensity and severity of a champion with the gentleness and friendliness of the sun.
He joined the J-League in 1995 and won the J1 League championship in the 2011 season. The team has an excellent reputation for developing players at its academy, and many of its players have been promoted to the top team and are active both in Japan and abroad.

KAWASAKI FRONTALE

Kawasaki, Kanagawa

The Fujitsu Soccer Club was founded in 1955 and was inaugurated as Kawasaki Frontale in 1997. The active area is Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Frontale means “front” or “front decoration” in Italian. It expresses the frontier spirit of always challenging at the forefront and the attitude of fighting fair and square from the front. In addition, it expresses the desire to walk forward together with Kawasaki, a seaside city located in the front of Japan.
The top team has won the J1 League championship four times and the Emperor’s Cup twice since 2017, and is one of the leading clubs in Japanese soccer. The club is also well known for its training, with current Brighton player Kaoru Misato having been a member of the club for 18 years since he was in elementary school.

SPORCUL ROPPONGI SC

Roppongi, Tokyo

The club is based in Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and its name “SporCul” is a cross between Sports and Culture.
The club aims to nurture strong individuals who are able to make positive decisions while having fun. They will represent the host country in this festival.

HOKKAIDO COSADOLE

Sapporo, Hokkaido

Formerly the Toshiba Soccer Club, Consadole Sapporo was established in 1996 as the first professional sports team in Hokkaido. The team name “Consadole” is a combination of the backwards reading of the word “Dosanjin” meaning a native of Hokkaido and the Latin-sounding word “ole.” In 2016, the team changed its name to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, and its home town is not only Sapporo City but also all Hokkaido.In 2021, the club will launch its own sustainable project, PASS (Positive Action for Sustainable Society), and carry out daily activities with the theme of enriching Hokkaido through soccer and sports.
Under the slogan “To the World with Hokkaido,” the club is working to nurture human resources who can play an active role in the world, while never forgetting its spirit of challenge.

YOKOHAMA F. MARINOS

Yokohama, Kanagawa

The Nissan Motor Soccer Club was established in 1972, and was launched as the Yokohama Marinos in 1992. In 1999, the team merged with the Yokohama Flugels and became the Yokohama F. Marinos, adding an F to the team name. The team has won five J-League championships (1995, 2003, 2004, 2019, and 2022) and has never been relegated to the J2 League. In July 2014, the club entered into a global soccer partnership with City Football Group, which operates Manchester City FC, bringing the club closer to the world.

Beijing Yaichi School has deep historical ties to soccer. The Ou Xiang Soccer Club was established on the Yaichi campus in 1997. At the Yaichi School, player education is about more than soccer skills; it focuses on team style, player quality, solidarity and friendship, and a sense of collective honor. Yaichi Ou Xiang Soccer Club has now been in existence for more than 20 years and has many well-known international players. Representative players include Wan Quliang, Zhu Iben, and Zhang Xiaobin. Yaichi Ou Xiang FC has achieved its goal of “from Asia to the world” by winning the Nike Cup Asia Pacific Championship.
The U12 team has won the notable CFA Major Cities Tournament, the BFA Young Players Tournament, the Tai Woo Cup, and the Rui Ke International Cup, etc. The U12 team has energetic players and professional coaches and staff. FC SANTOS

Santos, Sao Paulo

Founded in 1912. Its home is Santos, São Paulo, Brazil. The club was the first Brazilian club to win the South American championship, and is also famous for having former Japanese national team member Tomoyoshi Miura as well as Pele, who is known as the king of soccer.
Starting in 2023, a “crown” was added between the stars at the top of the emblem as a permanent sign of respect to Pele, who died the previous December.
World Football Festival ambassador Neymar also belonged to the club, and the club is expected to produce a Brazilian national team player among the players who will visit Japan this time.

VVV VENLO

Fenloh, Limburg

Founded in 1903. Based in Fenlo, the Netherlands. It is recognized as one of the oldest professional soccer clubs in the Netherlands. The club has deep ties with Japan and is known not only for its players such as Keisuke Honda, Maya Yoshida, Yuki Otsu, and Cullen Robert, but also for Toshiya Fujita (current Iwata GM), who coached the club after his retirement.
Although the team is currently in the Dutch second division, many players from the academy are members of the top team. This is a club with a long history that places importance on development, which is typical of the Netherlands.

SL BENFICA

Lisbon, Lisbon

Founded in 1904 and based in Lisbon, Portugal. Together with FC Porto and Sporting CP, it is one of the “Big Three” in Portuguese soccer.
They are the winningest club in Portugal and have twice won the Champions Cup, the predecessor to the Champions League.
The U19s won the youth version of the Champions League in the 2021/22 season.

CELTA DE VIGO

Vigo, Galicia

Founded in 1923. Its home is Vigo, Spain. Celta has never won the league or the cup, but like Bilbao, which is well known in Japan for its “Basque principle,” Celta values players from Galicia (the border between Spain and Portugal, Celta’s home region).
Gabriel Gabriveiga, a “jewel of Celta” from Celta’s academy who had been linked with a move to a top national or international club, left for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023.

“WORLD FOOTBALL FESTIVAL” is the world’s first innovative international tournament that
aims to realize international peace and wellbeing for all people through soccer.
Our mission is to harness the power of soccer sports culture to
create disadvantaged areas of the world and achieve wellbeing for children around the world.
The non-civilization of war and conflict,
and the structural violence of poverty and hunger, still exist in our world.
Many people around the world are working daily to overcome and solve these problems.
We all send our encouragement to the underprivileged children of the world and
give them soccer fields, classrooms, and school lunch facilities.
We then use this as a breakthrough to create that community.
In this way, we hope to harness the power of the world’s most prolific soccer sports culture to
help children achieve “health, happiness, and wellbeing.
As one, two, or three of these modest success cases are born in the real world,
visions of the same wishes and hopes begin to resonate and synchronize here and there around the world.
Eventually, this “resonant and synchronized vision” will grow into a large movement.
This is our hope and vision.

This project is both a “Regional Revitalization Program” and
a “Social Contribution Activities Program” with partner companies.
People = Human = Human Development: If we compare civilization to a fruit tree,
the fruit is the culture that civilization has produced.
In the same way, a company grows little by little, bigger and thicker with each passing year,

Q1. Where can I purchase tickets to watch the tournament?
A. There is no charge to watch the tournament, so there are no tickets.
You can watch the games freely in the spectator area at the venue. Please note, however, that the spectator area is limited and admission may be restricted depending on conditions.

*On 4/3 (Wed.), a J-League day, only the parents of the players participating in the tournament will be allowed to watch the games in order to avoid confusion at the entrance.
Q2. Is parking available at the venue?
A. Parking is available at the No. 2 parking lot on the Hitachi Kashiwa General Grounds in Kashiwa City.

*It may not be possible to park there due to congestion.
*Parking will be restricted on 4/3 (Wed.) due to the J-League tournament day. Please check with your team’s manager or coach if you are related to the participants of the tournament.
Q3. What is the timetable for the tournament?

The World Football Festival Secretariat (hereafter referred to as "the Secretariat") is committed to protecting the privacy of the users of the services provided on this website (hereafter referred to as "the Services").   • ・In the event that a User's personal information held by the Secretariat is incorrect, the User may request the Secretariat to correct, add to, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correct, etc.") the User's personal information in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company. The Secretariat may request the correction, addition, or deletion of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") from the User in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
  • ・If the Secretariat determines that it is necessary to respond to such a request upon receiving a request from a User as described in the preceding paragraph, the Secretariat shall make corrections, etc. to such personal information without delay.
  • ・If the Secretariat determines that it is necessary to respond to such a request, it shall make such correction, etc. to the relevant personal information without delay.

8. Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

  • ・The contents of this Privacy Policy may be changed without notice to the User, except as otherwise provided for in laws and regulations or in this Policy.
  • ・Unless otherwise specified by the Secretariat, the Privacy Policy after modification shall take effect from the time it is posted on the Website.
